Sa Caleta
This small crescent-shaped fishing port was possibly the first major Phoenician settlement on the island, dating back to around 8 BC. It is an archaeological site that forms part of Ibiza’s declaration as a World Heritage Site, outlining its basic structure.
The cove is almost entirely occupied by shipyards and various rustic jetties, from where various small boats depart for fishing or recreational trips. Its seabed is made up of stones and its shallow waters are enjoyed by families and visitors who are looking for a calm environment where they can bask in the sun and go for a swim.
