Las Salinas Natural Park
Las Salinas Natural Park, declared as such in 2001, is made up of 3,000 hectares of land and 13,000 marine hectares. It is a collection of natural assets of great importance that covers the south end of Ibiza, the north of Formentera and the waters that connect them. Among its most striking features are the salt ponds and their rich biodiversity; the Posidonia oceanica, a marine plant that is vital for the oxygenation and purity of the waters; the beaches of Ses Salines, Es Cavallet and Es Codolar; the defensive towers; the churches of San Francisco and the chapel of Sa Revista and its interpretation centre.
