Ibiza’s Must-Visit Markets: Much More Than a Place to Shop
Ibiza’s Must-Visit Markets: Much More Than a Place to Shop
Visiting a market in Ibiza is one of those experiences that lets you discover the island from a different perspective.
Beyond souvenirs, handicrafts and fashion, these markets preserve part of the creative spirit that turned Ibiza into a meeting place for artists, travellers and artisans from around the world.
Each market has its own unique character. Some keep alive the hippie spirit that arrived on the island in the 1960s, while others celebrate local produce, traditional craftsmanship and authentic gastronomy.

Punta Arabí: Where It All Began
If there is one place that tells the story of Ibiza’s hippie markets, it is the Hippy Market Punta Arabí.
Founded in 1973, it was the island’s very first hippie market and remains one of the largest and most iconic in Europe. Its hundreds of stalls line the streets with colourful fabrics, handcrafted jewellery, leather goods, ceramics, home décor, fashion and products from all over the world. Live music performances and a relaxed atmosphere complete an experience that has preserved the free-spirited essence with which it was born more than fifty years ago.

Las Dalias: Ibiza’s Creative Heart
What began in 1985 with just five stalls has grown into one of the island’s most visited attractions, welcoming more than 300 artisans and designers during its main market days.
Its appeal goes far beyond shopping. Live music, gastronomy, exhibitions and a vibrant mix of cultures make every visit an experience in itself. Here, local designers, jewellers, ceramic artists and craftspeople continue to keep Ibiza’s rich artisanal tradition alive.
Sant Joan: The Island’s Most Authentic Market
Every Sunday, the streets of this small village in northern Ibiza come alive with farmers, artisans, musicians and local producers. The pace is unhurried, with the focus on organic products, handmade crafts and locally sourced food.
Rather than a tourist market, Sant Joan is a meeting point where residents and visitors come together to experience one of the island’s most authentic and welcoming atmospheres.
