San Miguel: Cultural Hub

San Miguel can be reached by a straight road leading from Ibiza Town. From a great distance away you will be able to make out a hill with a beautiful fortified church (known as Puig de missa) that allowed the village’s population to protect itself from pirate attacks. It was built on the remains of an old Arab farm. It has a beautiful porch and a spacious patio covered with stone, accessed through three arches from the square where the steep road ends. As you arrive, you will see an iconic tobacconist store and various artisanal workshops.
